a #taegyu/#taegyuau alphabet prompt challenge created purely to motivate myself to write daily!! there’s no fixed rules but i did set some boundaries for myself:

maybe he would have to make use of this little detail to his own advantage for the time being. that would have to be the case until he becomes stronger to break free from the spells bg had put on him, or until he finds a way to get out of this dream-like scenario.

maybe he was recalling it wrongly, but, perhaps, wasn’t it a minor plot point that the protagonist might have used to like the villain until the latter became completely corrupt?

it’s his turn to secretly smirk.

his hand was now covering his own mouth, eyes clouded in disbelief.
“you-!” bg blurts out. that’s all he manages to say before he whips around, seeming deep in thoughts.
th blinks, memories of the novel’s plot slowly coming back to him as he shakes off his shock.

th shuts his eyes, expecting bg to hit him or fire a spell at him in outrage for taunting him, but the pressure releases from his face.
th slowly dares to look up, and his chest stirs when he sees that bg, who has taken a few steps away, looks visibly flustered.

he had kind of meant it as becoming bg's servant, doing whatever he wanted be it cleaning or cooking or even being his doorstopper, as long as he could stay alive! but instead, this sounded as if…

… so he throws caution aside with reckless abandon, and yells out an answer that’s just as absurd as the situation he’s currently in, “i’ll become yours for the rest of my life!”

oh, wait. that… didn’t really come out right.

even if bg had snapped at him after, the original villain of this world could have withstood it.
unlike him, th has no magic, combat abilities or even trickery. at most, he’s logical, but that’s not much to run by.

bg hums. “but i’ll release my hand if you tell me how you can be of use to me from now on.”
th freezes. the original answer was probably a defiant protest, that he would never switch sides to aid bg's cause, but he could afford to say that because he was skilful.

“i…” th winces as bg's grip gets stronger, nails scratching his skin. “let me go.”
“if you’re asking me to set you free, there’s no chance. it took me ages to finally capture you. & don’t even think about trying to break free since i’ve weakened your powers with my own spells.”

he runs through the options quickly - there’s no way he can beat bg in a fight, the protagonist with plot armor and martial arts skills on par with a black belt master!
“so, how should i take revenge on youg?” b smirks. “don’t think that you’re getting away.”

“drop the fucking act,” he mutters, eyes devoid of feeling. “you really think that i would let you go with such a shitty excuse, after all that you’ve done to me?”
oh fuck, th's brain screams. first, i really need to get of this situation before he brutally hurts me again!

regardless, it must be a very advanced dream. how could they have even switched the original name of the character to his?! th contemplates slapping himself awake. before he can take any drastic actions, bg steps up to him first and squeezes his cheeks together in a rough action.

no wonder this setting seems all too familiar, and th recognizes him. somehow, by some strange stroke of misfortune, he’s in the body of his favourite story’s villain. and the man standing in front of him must be the protagonist, destined to win against him on all fronts, cbg.

“i’m not,” th insists. “i don’t… have the slightest clue about who you are.”
the man laughs. “oh, that’s a shame that you’ve forgotten me - i didn’t think it was possible, since…” his smile drops. “you hate my guts.”
the line sends chills down th's spine.
