Due to a severe lack of donations, we are no longer able to support Sudanese community kitchens at the level we used to. These kitchens are a lifeline. They are how families eat when there is nothing else. Right now that lifeline is weakening.
Donations have slowed to the point where our operations are being interrupted. This is not because the need has gone away. It is because fewer people are seeing our work and fewer people are able or willing to give. The result is that support for some of the most vulnerable Sudanese families is being reduced at the worst possible time.
We also support Palestinian families who have no access to aid through any official channels. These are people who cannot get help from NGOs, governments, or large charities. What we provide may be the only support they receive.
If you cannot donate, please share this. Post it on your social media. Tell people what we do. Tell them we support Sudanese and Palestinian people who have been completely abandoned. Visibility alone can save lives. One share can reach someone who is able to give. One explanation can bring aid back into motion.
We do not have the luxury of silence. If this work stops, people go hungry. Please help us keep it going in any way you can.
“Why are we getting historically bad hurricanes, heat waves, and cold snaps almost every single year?”
“Why are so many people broke even though they work themselves to the bone?”
“Why are brain fog and fatigue becoming so common?”
Climate change, capitalism, and Covid:
Most of us who are covid conscious understand that widespread masking is not returning.
But masking in healthcare facilities should be an easy ask.
Getting folks to mask when they’re sick should be an easy ask.
Cleaning the air should be an easy ask.
It’s time we adapt
On Indigenous People’s Day, please remember that spreading disease is a tool of the colonizer. 90% of indigenous people died as a result of spreading disease. You want to support and honor Indigenous People’s Day? Wear a respirator mask!
