@hanfjob@kqomelet That would be really neat but also convoluted if true lol. I lean towards it being George cause if u listen closely it's kind of messy. It sounds like a Paul line but the playing is maybe more George-ish? idk @PaulMcCartney why didn't you just document everything ever for us
@hanfjob@kqomelet Yeah!! Something kind of silly: we don't exaaactly know who played bass on Oh Darling. There are a few different accounts but basically either George played it in session and it was kept, or Paul decided to be Paul and overdub afterwards. idk what I believe but I lean George
@joel_ca_c It's more that, as far as I know, he didn't actively go looking for new basses to use. Not 100% confident on this but I think besides the Hofner he mostly used basses that were gifted to him. I do think he had both a right handed and a left handed jazz bass around that time tho!!
@kqomelet@hanfjob There's not a lot of concrete info, but from what I've read about this (lots and lots of forums) it's pretty widely belived that he used the rick the most for Abbey Road. He did still use his hofner a bit tho + I thiiink a right handed fender jazz bass
