1- महाभारत ग्रंथ की रचना महर्षि वेदव्यास ने की थी किंतु इसका लेखन भगवान श्रीगणेश ने किया था। भगवान श्रीगणेश ने इस शर्त पर महाभारत का लेखन किया था कि महर्षि वेदव्यास बिना रुके ही लगातार इस ग्रंथ के श्लोक बोलते रहे। तब महर्षि वेदव्यास ने भी एक निश्चय किया कि मैं भले ही बिना सोचे-समझे बोलूं किंतु आप किसी भी श्लोक को बिना समझे लिखे नहीं। बीच-बीच में महर्षि वेदव्यास ने कुछ ऐसे श्लोक बोले जिन्हें समझने में श्रीगणेश को थोड़ा समय लगा और इस दौरान महर्षि वेदव्यास अन्य श्लोकों की रचना कर लेते थे।
