The coffee shop I go to has a regular who's been ordering "the usual" for so long that nobody remembers what the usual actually is but they're too afraid to ask so they just make different drinks every time and he's never complained. Barista told me this in confidence. They've been guessing for EIGHT MONTHS. Sometimes it's a latte. Sometimes cold brew. Once they gave him tea. He just says thanks and leaves. Staff has a group chat dedicated to figuring out what his actual usual is. They've tried pattern recognition. Analyzed his reactions. Nothing definitive. One barista suggested just asking him and the manager said absolutely not, we're in too deep. Yesterday they gave him hot chocolate and he said "perfect, just what I needed" so either he's the most easy-going person alive or he also forgot what his usual is and is just going with it. Either way there's a whole conspiracy happening behind the counter of a coffee shop about what this man wants to drink. I'm invested now. I go specifically to see what he gets. Took a survey of the options: 40% coffee-based, 30% espresso-based, 20% tea, 10% wild cards. He's never ordered food. Only drinks. This is the most exciting part of my week.

As I pull up to the bar on my motorcycle, I see the black car I sent for her pull up. Leaping from the seat, I open the door for her. The bike slides perfectly into a parking space.
I tell her she looks magnificent, and she can see in my eyes I mean it. We're right on time, by my watch, which is tasteful and just a bit indulgent - I've repaired it myself. I'm a billionaire surgeon who teaches underprivileged puppies to read on the weekend, and she can tell that if I can handle eight whelps, she'll be a piece of cake.
I lead us inside. The music changes to her favorite song as we enter. She trips as we reach the bar, and I deftly guide her falling body into a chair, as if she had planned it. With the close contact, she smells me, and the smell makes her feel safe and wild at the same time, like a soft pillow that she wants to bite.
I telepathically order us drinks. For her, something that she didn't even know she wanted. For me, a beer. Bottled. The cap is still on it, and I don't have an opener.
I wink at the bottle and the cap pops off, salutes me, and dashes off. As she turns her head back to me, she sees that I've folded the cocktail napkin into an origami crane, and I've just handed it to a tearful Japanese child, who is thanking me profusely. I am, of course, responding in perfect Japanese.
"He saved that child from a cobra last week," a bartender tells her. "And then he sat down with the cobra, turned his life around. That cobra is going to college in the fall."
He lowers his voice now: "When he picks a woman, he means it. Also, he's been medically diagnosed with having the perfect dong size."
My date turns back to me, and we smile at each other in a comfortable moment of stillness. A beep comes from her purse, and she apologizes - it's her friend, checking in. She taps out a quick message:

Clear Differences Between RAM and ROM

What do I mean?

ROM is memory used to store data at rest. It contains data stored on the disk of a computer system while it is running programs.

Data at rest can be deleted, but often people forget to do so and end up with bloated storage and a laggy device.

RAM, on the other hand, is memory used to store data while a program is running.

When you’re playing a game, the data for the game’s current state is stored in RAM. RAM stores this data for as long as the program is running.. whether it’s 9 minutes, 9 days, or even 9 months. If the memory in RAM is not freed up, it keeps accumulating.

However, once the program is closed or shuts down, all the data stored in RAM is immediately released, and the memory becomes available again for other programs to use.

We need both RAM and ROM…
