Two months before she killed her children with exercise bands, Lindsay Clancy told her prescriber she was unable to determine what was real. Disoriented, forgetful, confused, disconnected.
They kept writing scripts.
Here's what she reported and what they gave her, in order.
Mid October 2022. A psychiatrist starts her on 25mg of Zoloft. Within days it's doubled to 50.
She reports she hasn't slept in 48 hours. Racing thoughts. Worsening anxiety.
20 October. She reports heart palpitations and says her mental health is getting worse.
They take her off the Zoloft and prescribe Ativan and Benadryl.
16 November. She goes to the ER with insomnia, anxiety and heart palpitations.
She's sent home with trazodone.
20 November. Her mother in law rings a perinatal behavioural health programme.
Lindsay tells them she's "very frustrated, scared" with extreme insomnia and racing thoughts. They prescribe Prozac.
24 November. She reports the Prozac is making her insomnia worse.
So they add Ambien, Remeron and Klonopin. Three more on top.
The very next day she tells the practitioner she's unable to determine what's real. Disoriented. Forgetful. Confused. Disconnected.
Nobody stops.
28 November. She's getting three hours of sleep. Disoriented and scared.
They prescribe Seroquel. Her husband testified last week that this is where "her big spiral started".
2 December. She reports she's suicidal and hearing things.
Three days later she rings a crisis hotline asking to be admitted. She's told she doesn't meet the criteria.
6 December. She and Patrick go back to the practitioner together. He tells them she's far worse since starting the Seroquel.
They increase the dose.
20 December. Back to the ER, suicidal. The next day she admits herself into a programme and is removed, because the doctor says she's just overmedicated and doesn't have a mental health issue.
She admits herself to a different hospital. She's discharged with trazodone.
10 January. A psychiatrist prescribes Valium, then amitriptyline.
On 24 January she reported hearing a male voice say: "This is your last chance. Kill the children so you can kill yourself."
Her kids were 5, 3 and 8 months.
13 psychiatric drugs in four months. She reported it was getting worse at every single stage and every single time the answer was another drug.
Not one person in that chain asked whether the treatment had become the illness.
This was not a mysterious psychiatric event appearing out of nowhere. It was a progressive collapse of brain function under postpartum stress, extreme insomnia, autonomic overdrive and relentless pharmacological interference.
The warning signs were explicit: racing thoughts, palpitations, worsening anxiety, disorientation, derealisation, suicidality and hallucinations. Yet every sign of deterioration was interpreted as a reason to add, switch or increase another drug.
Psychiatry cannot keep pretending that SSRIs, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, sedating antidepressants and hypnotics are inert tools with no capacity to induce activation, akathisia, paradoxical reactions, delirium, withdrawal states or psychosis. These outcomes are documented, and this is not the first case in which severe behavioural disintegration followed escalating psychiatric polypharmacy.
The most disturbing fact is not that one clinician made one mistake but that an entire system repeatedly watched her lose contact with reality and still treated the worsening condition as proof that she needed more chemical suppression.
At some point, the treatment became part of the disease. The establishment does not want that sentence said out loud, which is exactly why it needs to be said louder.
Parents who raise their kids on realistic content are performing a kind of soul circumcision without anesthesia, and they do it proudly. they buy the little books about sharing and recycling and how divorce is okay, sensible books, vetted books, books approved by some committee of childless phds who decided that dragons are psychologically destabilizing. and then this denuded little creature grows up and wanders out into a world that is absolutely crawling with dragons, real ones, humans who feed on humiliation, women who collect men like scalps, landlords, banks, algorithms, addictions, each one an ancient monster. and the kid has nothing, no stored narrative of the small weak thing prevailing, no memory of stones becoming bread or dead girls waking up. his parents gave him nutritious facts and he stands there starving in front of his first real giant with a stomach full of information. meanwhile some other kid whose grandmother filled him with absolute garbage, nonsense talking wolves, magic beans, boys made of wood, walks up to the same giant and something old activates in him. he knows somewhere deep in the meat of him that giants are a problem with a known solution, that has been handled before, by smaller people than him, with worse weapons
Once you notice the “potential posting” you can’t stop seeing it. Liberals find it very hard to be patriotic, but they know that this is repulsive to normal people, so they have developed “potential posting” to do fake patriotism.
Boomer men will be like “you know what’d be a great idea? A late in life second marriage to a woman that will try to steal my estate from my children for the benefit of her own after I die. I can’t see how that would be bad at all. Fuck it, I’m gonna do it.”
Actually, live your life normally, use your AC in whatever manner keeps you comfortable, and if the grid collapses make them explain why we don’t have power generation capacity sufficient to our needs as a city, and make them fix it by building more capacity.
Do not acquiesce or normalize any of this. Nothing socialists say can be taken in good faith.
They want to take away AC permanently (as they have in Europe) and they will do it first by getting you used to the idea that your AC must be turned down for ‘the greater good’, then by making it more expensive to purchase and operate through higher energy costs (also already happening), and finally by regulating it out of existence.
Just say no.
Normalizing the Hot Mess Mom is super off putting if youre more type A. Im still getting my hair & nails done, keeping my house mostly clean, etc. The implication that your house will never be clean again & you won't have any time for yourself makes motherhood sound depressing.
Women grow an entire human being for nine months, push it out of their body, and then are expected to be back in the office in 6-8 weeks and see the baby for a handful of hours a day.
We’ve genuinely normalized this.
It doesn’t register as insane until you say it out loud.
If your definition of equality requires mothers and fathers to be interchangeable, I have news for you: your equality comes at the price of child harm.
Babies don’t need a plastic nipple and industrial formula loaded with corn syrup, emulsifiers, stabilizers and preservatives so adults can congratulate themselves on "fairness."
They need their mothers in ways they do not need their fathers.
Only mothers produce living, adaptive, organic food, perfectly calibrated for THAT baby, male or female; adjusted when the child is sick; responsive to stress; changing across the day; with hindmilk that develops the brain and body in ways no factory can reproduce. That nourishment comes from her body alone, never his.
And this isn’t a slight against fathers. Fathers do essential things mothers cannot do. Real equality does not mean sameness. It means honoring difference without forcing children to pay the cost.
So stop measuring everything through a child-oppressive lens of adult gender equality. Children are not obstacles in your ideological experiment.
Whatever someone is projecting externally is the exact thing they lack internally and whatever they hide externally is the exact thing they overflow with internally. this is spiritual law - never once wrong in my experience. once you understand this everything inverts
Underrated high status signal in the modern day is whether or not you can raw dog experiences.
If you can't workout, run, travel, study, or eat without having to distract yourself you should be concerned.
Your life will be governed & ruled by those that can.
The concept of a rich woman buying a poor woman's womb then holding the baby in her arms and crying as if she had given birth herself. Nobody can convince me that this isn't diabolical. I have no respect for any of this
Until the early-90s the DSM committee framed 'repeated sexual intercourse in a casual relationship' as a symptom of 'antisocial personality disorder'. But by the late-90s the moral mood had changed so the committee voted to drop the idea...
