.@eu_echo joined our visit to Monguno, and others such as @FranceInNigeria and @RMontgomeryUK 's teams have expressed interest in visiting our programmes in the future. We encourage such visits to take place so that donors witness first-hand the scope and depth of existing needs.
We will be focusing our work on the most urgent needs and in areas where IRC can add most value, using experience and expertise in emergency situations with credible partners, with a focus on health, women’s and children’s safety, and psychological support.
Following the work of IRC assessment teams on the ground, and commencement of aid flows from Egypt to Gaza, the IRC is initiating a response to the humanitarian crisis arising from the current conflict.
The Mission welcomes with relief the release of Mr. Zaza Gakheladze today, after a year of continuous efforts for this positive outcome, including through the Hotline and extensive discussions within the Ergneti IPRM format.
.@EUMMGeorgia welcomes the re-opening today, after 478 days of closure, of the Enguri Bridge controlled crossing point for regular cross-ABL traffic. This is a positive development allowing for a greater freedom of movement for the conflict-affected population.
