Does anyone know where I can access copies of Macbeth, Jekyll and AIC in Sinhala? Would be greatly appreciated - please share widely!!!! @Team_English1
What. A. Day. We are so proud of our amazing students 🤩🤩🤩
Another phenomenal year of results with over a third of all grades at 7-9!
Congratulations on all your hard work 🎉🎉🎉
@literarygeordie@mrsmacteach33@Team_English1 Push for students to understand the connections between parts of the extract as opposed to analysing structural features in isolation!
Always explore the WHY behind the writer’s choices: ‘why has the writer used X here? Why would the impact of X be different elsewhere?’
Being bed bound with a very strange virus at this time of the year is causing horrendous amounts of guilt but supportive messages from SLT and line managers telling me to rest does wonders for said guilt
One week to go until our Summer 2023 season begins ☀️ (Huzzah!)
And to celebrate, we're giving away two seated tickets to our season opener, #AMidsummerNightsDream! To enter:

@hkateaching My trainees this year have requested sessions on planning (particularly based on a school or departmental policy) and how to manage low level disruption (our non-binary system can make managing this quite challenging).
@EnglishLtaylor@mrsmacteach33@Team_English1 3) With my lower attaining sets, I use them to check knowledge of structure (e.g. what step is missing in this point?).
4) SPAG errors or grammar.
5) Quote recall (e.g. write a quote that reveals Macbeth’s increasing guilt).
@EnglishLtaylor@mrsmacteach33@Team_English1 1) Low-stakes knowledge
2) Idea generation (e.g. what abstract noun best encompasses the characters feelings?). Powerful way to get students to reflect on which is better and why.
