Manchester City dropped to Tier 3 for 5 years and Real Madrid replace them in the Premier League. That would be a great situation for everyone involved.
Tebas and Negreira merchants can enjoy themselves in Spain
Huele
Here’s what Real Madrid should do.
Irreversibly announce the refusal to play in the Spanish Super Cup in Istanbul. Madrid already pay Ferland Mendy essentially to turn up for Adidas photo shoots at this point. Surely the financial implications of withdrawing couldn’t possibly hurt the club so badly.
The RFEF has booked Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray’s stadiums for the Super Cup, but Başakşehir’s stadium should be available during those same days. There are plenty of Turkish fans eager to watch Madrid. They should not be deprived. Madrid should organize two friendlies in Istanbul on the same dates, one against Başakşehir and one against another Turkish Süper Lig club. Let’s see who sells out their venues and whose matches draw more viewers worldwide.
Yes, there will be questions about what that does to Madrid’s image, but those questions can remain unanswered and the club needn’t be overly concerned.
The La Liga president compared a member club’s communications to Nazi propaganda methods and then repeated it while ‘clarifying’. That’s a gravely concerning and deeply disrespectful line from someone who’s also an RFEF vice president. Where is the condemnation from other clubs in Spain or the rest of Europe? And why should Madrid worry about its image in the eyes of institutions that won’t call that out?
There must be consequences beyond an official statement. Since RFEF allows this kind of disgraceful behavior from its VP to one of its member clubs, it should face the consequences.
"El Real Madrid no jugará un partido más de liga y competiciones nacionales mientras el presidente de la liga continúe en su cargo tras estas declaraciones que, además, están ya en manos de nuestro equipo legal para tomar las medidas legales pertinentes"
ESO hay que hacer. ESO.
Real Madrid have won two UCLs after the introduction of VAR, Barcelona haven’t smelled a final since it has been introduced
VAR was critical in their elimination against PSG & Inter in the last two years. Have some shame
Several. Managers and clubs across elite leagues regularly criticize referees after losses, often focusing on decisions while their own play contributed. Arsenal, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and others have issued statements. Real Madrid's consistent media highlighting stands out for frequency, but public frustration with officiating is widespread, not unique.
@XiohBlanco@Tebasjavier Ninguno.
🚨 UEFA Financial Control Board on the 271 charges filed against PSG:
🗣️ A senior UEFA official: “We have received the full dossier. Two hundred and seventy-one charges. This is not a minor compliance issue. This is an allegation of systematic, multi-year financial misconduct involving state-linked channels, false accounting, and the active involvement of league officials who were supposed to oversee the competition.
“The documents suggest that domestic matches were postponed not only for sporting reasons, but as part of a broader pattern that protected the club’s ability to compete in Europe while masking the true cost of its operations. Rival clubs have already contacted us demanding that titles and Champions League places from the last decade be reviewed. They believe they were competing against a club that was not operating under the same rules.
“What makes this particularly serious is the claim that internal compliance files and communications were deliberately suppressed for years. The fact that these materials were ultimately handed over by a former player’s legal team shows how difficult it was to get to the truth through normal channels.
“Our independent disciplinary panel will begin its review next week. We are not in a position to comment on the outcome, but the scale of the charge sheet means this cannot be treated as a routine case. If the allegations are substantiated, the sanctions available to us go far beyond fines. Points deductions, transfer bans, and exclusion from European competition are all on the table.
“European football has rules for a reason. When one club is accused of operating outside those rules for this long, with the alleged cooperation of its own league, it raises questions about the integrity of every competition that club has taken part in. We will follow the evidence. That is all we can say for now.”
