Before MMW content takes over, I wanted to formally double down on saying @crssdfest’s spring 2026 edition was the best weekend I’ve had at Waterfront

CRSSD consistently delivers a unique lineup that feels well-rounded, and there’s a real argument that the curation holds its own with any major U.S. dance music festival. Its ability to identify up-and-comers before they break has been well documented, and this year proved it again with four Alleined Artists to Watch in 2026: @sorayadj, @brunello_music, Omar+ and Pegassi.

At the same time, the lineup had its fair share of star power, highlighted by a surprise @chrislake daytime set, a @Lane8music sunset set, @ericprydz as Cirez D, @domdolla closing Ocean View, and countless others worth naming.

Having now been six times, the festival continues to make noticeable improvements year over year. City Steps’ production felt more immersive, Ocean View keeps leveling up with more intentional headline production, and the sound all weekend was phenomenal, especially at Palms, where it was still crisp even on the outskirts. (which made a huge difference for the bigger artist draws)

CRSSD’s crowds remain undefeated (especially Sundays), with most of the 15k attendees staying true to the festival’s “manifesting dance floor euphoria” slogan. As someone who records a lot of videos, it was really refreshing to see minimal phone usage throughout the crowds. Of course, some crowd yapping is unavoidable, but it’s truly at a minimum if you know the sweet spots at each stage. The food and drink options always deserve a shout too, along with CRSSD’s $5 happy hour that gets people in early (something more festival should offer). And Waterfront Park is as sublime a venue as it gets, and we were blessed with peak San Diego weather all weekend.

CRSSD has always been one of my favorite festivals on the planet, and I’m forever grateful not only to have it in my backyard, but to experience it twice a year. If you haven’t been yet, I could not recommend making the trip to Waterfront this fall enough (dates TBA).

Saturday was expectedly an all-time day at Waterfront between @crssdfest’s absurdly deep lineup and some pristine SD weather

▪️Special guest at Ocean View being @chrislake fully made up for him having to miss Proper. A rare chance to see him in the daytime like this
▪️Three Alleined Artists to Watch in 2026 on day 1 (one more on day 2) and they all ripped: @sorayadj, @brunello_music, and Omar+
▪️Also caught some of Alignment at City Steps which was electric
▪️Palms closing run with Mita Gami into @bensterling_dj into @VintageCulture was so elite (sadly missed Obskür and Franky Rizardo)

Just a flawless day from start to finish. CRSSD being 21+ combined with the lack of f*n cl*cking/totems always helps to elevate the experience and bring some overall great crowd vibes (despite some yapping which is unavoidable in 2026). Also worth noting there were very minimal phones out
