🚨 I JUST DISCOVERED A MASSIVE MARKET WARNING SIGNAL.
Look at the dates on $XLY Consumer Discretionary when Monthly momentum rolled over into the Green Barrier:
2000: Dot Com Crash
2008: Financial Crisis
2018: 20% Correction
2020: COVID Crash
2022: Bear Market
...Now look at 2026.
XLY is already down roughly 10% from the highs. Monthly Williams %R has rolled all the way down to minus 64 already with more room down to the green barrier.
I'm NOT saying this guarantees a crash. But the $SPY is barely down 2% from it's highs and only hit a max of 4% down recently with XLY showing a clear downtrend.
I'm saying Consumer Discretionary has repeatedly broken down during major market stress over the last 25 years. And it's rolling over again.
History doesn't always repeat but often ryhmes.
Bookmark this and we can revisit in the future.
FUCK.
Been a while since I posted something this interesting.
Today, QQQ was
▪ Up at least +2.75%
▪ On a day VXN (VIX for QQQ) was up at least +1.00 point
And how has QQQ done 2 weeks and 1 month after every similar event in the past?
Hahahahahahafuck.
Here’s an idea. We should split the country in half,
Put a big wall through the middle.
Those in favor of refugees can live one side with open borders and third world degenerates.
Then the other side could be those who oppose refugees, we would have closed borders, thriving communities, safe streets. it would be beautiful!
I wonder how long it would take for those on the pro refugee side to be begging to come join us.
⚡️The chart is not telling me teenagers suddenly lost IQ.
It is telling me civilization has started consuming the cognitive substrate required to express intelligence.
The hidden variable is attention.
Reading, mathematics, and science all require the same underlying machinery: hold a problem in working memory, tolerate confusion, resist distraction, build a representation over time, then reason inside it.
Modern childhood increasingly trains the opposite loop:
stimulus → reaction → novelty → stimulus → reaction → novelty
Short video, notifications, algorithmic feeds, constant task-switching, reduced long-form reading, less boredom, less unstructured thought. The brain adapts to the environment it repeatedly inhabits.
So the frightening possibility is not “kids are genetically becoming stupider.”
It is:
we are taking perfectly capable brains and training them into cognitive shallowness during the years when attentional architecture is being built.
That would explain why reading gets hit especially hard. Reading is almost pure sustained internal simulation. Nothing moves. Nothing rewards you every three seconds. You must manufacture the world inside your own head.
And the pandemic looks more like an accelerant than the origin. The decline was already forming before it. COVID then removed structure, normalized screens further, damaged attendance, and widened learning gaps.
The next phase may be even stranger because AI removes another layer of cognitive friction.
Previously, a student who did not understand something had to wrestle with it.
Now the answer can appear immediately.
That is incredibly useful, but struggle itself is part of how cognition gets built.
So the deepest risk is not AI making people less intelligent.
It is humans progressively outsourcing the exact cognitive operations that used to develop intelligence in the first place.
The civilization-level pattern would be:
better tools → less cognitive friction → weaker native cognitive endurance → greater dependence on tools → even less friction
That is a reflexive loop.
And if it continues, you could get the strangest outcome imaginable:
the most intelligent civilization in history, surrounded by the most powerful cognitive machinery ever built, while the median human becomes less able to think without it.
That is what this chart makes me worry about.

Proud moment for our team and for patients across Europe.
Our first EU (German) labeling and packaging run for ANKTIVA is complete. These vials represent more than manufacturing. They mark the next step in bringing this IL-15 immunotherapy to patients with BCG-unresponsive NMIBC who previously faced limited options.
Global access continues. Unstoppable
$ZETA
CEO David Steinberg just said on the Bloomberg Live Podcast that one of largest auto insurer in the world went from a $50k pilot to now spending $100m annually on the $ZETA platform. Sheesh!
