@realJaredGilman Honestly same, but my wife hated on it super hard after and I found myself begrudgingly agreeing with everything she was saying lol. I think it’s good at being a movie! Just maybe not a philosophical text
@realJaredGilman Extremely well shot movie with a bafflingly out of touch (and date) message, Spielberg antics don’t land the same when the characters preach directly to the camera at least 3-4 times about really touchy subject matter. This is a 2000s movie out of place in 2026
This is …. And I don’t say this lightly…. The single greatest piece of writing I have ever seen in my life
The Japanese have discovered unlimited chips & salsa and it’s beautiful
@TAHK0 Terapagos doesn’t (normally) time travel, it grants wishes, like the ‘don’s wish to see the prof in the epilogue, Kieran’s wish for an ultra powerful mon then to beat it with friends, and the prof’s wish that the pokemon from magazines (referenced in Dex entries) would be real
Elden Ring’s story is occupation. The history of humankind was defined by the arrival of Elden influence. Thousands of years later it’s redefined by overthrowing that rule — only held by a “beast” that was left behind as a vassal lord. Were ants in an empire, but we’re free.
The Elden Beast brings together Marika's entire plan. She exiled the Tarnished away from the Lands Between so that, when the time was right, they could be revived and use Hewg's godslaying weapons to slay the true god of this world and rid the Lands Between of its influence.
It's a dream come true that I get to announce I'm producing a Bloodborne R-Rated Animated Movie with Sony. I can't say much else about it yet but I will pour everything I have into this!

? Lynch seems obviously conservative in his worldview. Most of his oeuvre juxtaposes cruel deviants against the joys of simple pleasures. But his greatest evils were (nuclear) war, nuclear family hiding evil behind normalcy. He valued tradition, just not at the expense of people.
