Sinn Fein ought to change their slogan to “Our revenge will be the poppies on our children.”
O’Neill’s attendance at Remembrance all but confirms Sinn Féin’s total capitulation and compromise of Irish Republican ideals. While paying lip service to IRA terrorists, their leader will now, albeit insincerely, commemorate the very British soldiers that defeated them.
None of this however takes away from how Sinn Fein are using the event as a deflection from their own misgivings.
Remembrance services should be free from political posturing. They are sacred ceremonies and not to be exploited or manipulated for political purposes.
By attending, Michelle O’Neill not only disrespects victims of IRA terrorism but dishonours the sanctity of the service.
Please pass this on. Our families are waiting for over 50 yrs for Truth and Justice . @hilarybennmp it's time for ALL families to begin to heal.
