What Does Masculinity Mean to You?
Strip away the labels.
Forget the locker room rules.
Forget the tough love.
Forget the ridicule for softness.
What is masculinity to you,
When no one else is defining it?
Have you ever dared to ask?
And if you don’t know,
How much of you is truly yours?
Gay Twitter: “abs supremacy” threads with 40k likes. Straight Twitter: “nope, need a shredded man…. he’s too skinny”.
Both: instant mockery for skinny-soft frames. Bisexual reality: most bodies are soft somewhere. Most desire is conditioned bullshit you never take time to think twice about.
The internet didn’t make us comfortable with nudity. It made us comfortable with pornography. Those aren’t the same thing.
One celebrates a human being.
The other usually sells a fantasy.
When every naked body is treated as explicit by default, we lose the ability to see beauty without assuming intention. We stop seeing people and start seeing categories.
That isn’t progress.
It’s another kind of censorship.
Nazis burned books to kill ideas they feared. They wanted one color, one mind, one truth. What happened? The world saw the monster they hid. Censorship didn't save them—it exposed the darkness they fed.
