I develop my self-hosting @Sortix_org operating system. I help people learn cool OS stuff. He/Him. Previously Google, now funded to do my own OS full time.
@piri_io_ I'll be very happy to write about your music on the music news site I'm about to launch. Basically getting ready to press the bottom and announce it publicly. Your recent music is very good and people need to know
If he hadn’t been persecuted to death by his government, he could well have lived long enough to witness much of the computer revolution.
At age 57 he would’ve seen Apollo 11 land on the Moon, using the most advanced computers of the time
At age 69 he would’ve seen the release of the IBM PC
In his 80s he would’ve seen the dot com bubble.
If he made it to 95, he might have been there when Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone.
The moment I finished drawing this joke, I realized someone had probably already done it. But then, given that this is recursive, there's at least some layer of Doom on Doom that has not yet been achieved.

To @EU_Commission ,
This is a contemporary photo of a 3000 years old board game from Ramnous archeological site in Greece.
We are members of @videogames_EU and we support @StopKilingGames .
Games *are* cultural heritage.
Ubisoft CEO is today having an "invitation-only" meeting with the European Commission, hosted by VGE, 2 weeks before the EC planned answer to our ECI.
SKG was not invited.
Thus, we publish an Open Letter, that we invite everyone of you to read it and share it for visibility.
Video Games Europe lobby group (including Ubisoft) is hosting a discussion on consumer policy on video games with the EU Commission, but no one has been invited to represent consumers. This is likely an attempt to sink the ECI, but we have backup plans.

@videogames_EU is hosting a meeting between its members (ie @Ubisoft) and members of the @EU_Commission + @Europarl_EN < 2 weeks before the Commission makes a decision on our Initiative: https://t.co/AJBkveP9xH
We believe this is an attempt to lobby the Commission and we OBJECT!:
Californians: contact your State Senator and support AB 1921: https://t.co/faTqqAv9KV

🎮 Big update: California’s Protect Our Games Act (AB 1921) just passed the State Assembly floor vote 43–16.
The bill would require game companies to give notice before shutting down server-dependent games and provide a way to keep purchased games playable afterward.
Now it heads to the California State Senate, where it needs support.
@ChrisWardCA for @StopKilingGames!
@piri_io_ Same! On the train home now! How was your trip?? Australia looked amazing! Vegas was quite the experience and I had the happiest wonderful time in San Francisco
Literally unplayable!
The #StopKillingGames campaign made it to the European Parliament today, following a massively successful campaign that collected over 1 million signatures 🤟
We must stop gamedevs from remotely disabling videogames in order to maximise profits!
🚨HUGE win for @StopKilingGames 🎮🔥
The CA Assembly Appropriations Committee just voted YES to move the bill to the Assembly floor. The @theESA gaslighting campaign failed.❌
Massive thanks to @ChrisWardCA and his team.🙌
Next stop: the floor vote🏛️
And we’ll need all of you again.🎯✊
