Working for a rich lady today who raves about her lovely maid who is 87 years old. This lady (70) has the gall to say “I always say, I want to be like her when I grow up!”
How come the 2nd or 3rd track of every Beach House album sounds real mean-spirited, like vindictive, possibly evil, and also how come the rest of the shit doesn't sound like that?
@facetedcarapace@suburban_vamp Tbf my dumb ass at 5/6 thought I had a SAHM bc she was home during the day, but she was just working second shift once my dad got home.
We should sit all the big podcasters in a room and give them a quiz, eighth grade English style. They’re all gonna get the same short story to read, followed by a written test on the plot and themes.
I just wanna see something.
Joe Rogan just took time out of his podcast to express genuine concern for his friend Theo Von.
He admitted that some of Von’s recent behavior after getting on SSRIs “freaks me out” — especially his comments about suicide.
ROGAN: “Theo Von’s going through the exact same thing and last time he was on the podcast he was explaining it to me.”
“It freaks me out because I know Theo has had conversations before...like even publicly.”
“He had a Netflix taping and it didn’t go well. It was like they actually never...they shelved it. They never used it.”
“And you know there was all these stories from people that were there saying he bombed. I think he just had a kind of a breakdown.”
“And when he was talking to the crowd and there’s a video of it, he said, you know, the people were saying, hey, we still love you.”
“He goes, thank you. Look, I’m just I’m trying not to take my own life.”
“And like you hear stuff like that and you just go like, oh, Jesus Christ.”
“I’ve known too many people that I didn’t think were going to kill themselves and then did.”
“And then he goes down these spirals where he starts talking about world events and freaking out. I’m like, oh, Jesus Christ! Like, I got to help this dude.”
@RobertSkvarla I think Jacques Valleé is the only person I can think of who claims to have taken part in Project Stargate, who isn’t a complete maniac. Not saying I trust the guy, just that he seems more mentally fit than the rest of his cohort.
For #2, I try to gather intel from the bookshelves, but it’s usually a bunch of self help garbage and some autobios of conservative politicians. It’s been 15 years in this field and I am no closer to finding out wtf that the rich of Toledo, Ohio do to earn their manses.
I understand the bit, but I’m going to answer in earnest anyway. These are the houses I work in. It’s one of two situations in my experience:
1. Husband and wife are both surgeons and/or own medical practice with several locations
2. Oblique WFH job
