INSTEAD OF WATCHING AN HOUR OF NETFLIX TONIGHT.
This 1 hour Stanford lecture by Joel Peterson will teach you more about negotiation and getting what you want than most people learn in years.
Bookmark it and give it an hour, no matter what.
Grateful for the warm reception from the @Unimaid_officia and the Department of Microbiology. It was an honour to return and engage with students, faculty, and leadership on building sustainable scientific ecosystems.
Last week in Tunisia, I had the opportunity to contribute to a Neuroscience Summer School, engaging early-career scientists from across North Africa, alongside colleagues from European institutions. Inaddition to lectures in Alzheimer’s disease biology and model systems, I led discussions on building sustainable neuroscience ecosystems. A key theme that emerged is that progress in #African #Neuroscience won't just be about training or techniques, but about aligning people, problems, institutions, and networks over time.
ربنا هب لنا من أزواجنا وذرياتنا قرة أعين واجعلنا للمتقين إماما

Our Lord, give us joy in our spouses and offspring. Make us good examples to those who are aware of You
Watching this launch video is both exciting and deeply emotional. @BioRTCNig started as a conviction that high-quality biomedical research should not be geographically limited. Today, it stands as a commissioned centre with strong government backing and international collaboration. The responsibility now is to deliver impact.

O Allāh!
I seek refuge with You from the affliction of the Fire and from the punishment in the Fire,
and seek refuge with You from the affliction of the grave,
and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of wealth,
and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of poverty,
and seek refuge with You from the affliction of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal
[aḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6376]
Ya Allāh rescue me from my hardships like you rescued ʾIbrāhīm عليه السلام from the fire, like you rescued Mūsā عليه السلام from firaun, like you rescued Yūnus عليه السلام from the belly of the whale, and like you rescued Muḥammad ﷺ when he became an orphan in the desert.
It was narrated from ʾUmm Salamah رضي الله عنها that when the Prophet ﷺ performed the Subh (morning prayer), while he said the Salam, he would say: “O Allāh, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision and acceptable deeds”
[Sunan Ibn Mājah 925, Graded Ṣaḥīḥ]
Yā Allāh, grant me a heart that leans on You in every moment. A heart that accepts Your tests with patience and Your blessings with gratitude. A heart that finds its healing only with You.
O Allāh, expand my rizq with what is pure, bless my health with strength, and ease my heart with calmness and clarity. Heal what is hidden within me and what weighs on my mind, and replace every worry with Your mercy.
O Allāh, pour patience, safety, and relief upon our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Sudan. Grant them protection, victory, and a dawn after every hardship. Āmīn.
