RIP Joel Schumacher. Through his diverse filmography, he left a number of memorable films. Please watch @patrickhwillems’ excellent video essay on Joel’s Batman films. It’s a wonderful tribute to a man and his films that didn’t deserve to be vilified. https://t.co/v9dD1JqSrH
@SpikeLeeJoint has crafted a powerful movie with a wonderful ensemble. In particular, Delroy Lindo is simply phenomenal. He deserves an Academy Award for this. The entire film does. #Da5Bloods is a masterpiece.
@CurtisIP1 Congo is delightfully silly. I’m so glad Roger Ebert got it. How can you go wrong with a gorilla that has an electronic device that speaks and drinks martinis? It’s a hoot!
With the excellent reviews he’s receiving for #Da5Bloods, we have to give more acknowledgement to what a great actor #DelroyLindo is. He effortlessly steals scenes in Malcolm X, Clockers, The Cider House Rules, even Congo. He deserves all the Oscar buzz going his way.
@8stratview @FrontAstronaut He’s so good in it. In particular, the viral “so say it” clip that many people thought was REAL. He’s so believable as an actor that you don’t see an actor. You see a believable human being.
@MaiPrintMasterd Speaking of Samuel L. Jackson, he was in talks to star in the movie. If memory serves, I think he was going to play the part that went to Clarke Peters instead. Like Lindo, some of Jackson’s best performances have been in Spike Lee movies like Jungle Fever.
We love his work with the Coen Brothers. In particular, The Man Who Wasn’t There and O Brother, Where Art Thou? are absolutely beautiful films What film would you add to the list? #Movienight#RogerDeakins#films#cinema#cinematographer
After our @sosnpodcast episode with @NoNoiseChitChat on his new book “Resident Evil”, I HAD to try the game and see for myself ...... well.... I tried. I freaking tried ... who moonwalks their way to a zombie?!? 😂 #fail#ResidentEvil#videogames
NEW INTERVIEW: I had a great time with @SOSNPodcast, discussing my Resident Evil book for @BossFightBooks and two of the best horror films. Which ones? Listen and find out! (Night of the Living Dead and The Thing.) It was fun and they talked about my book more than I did!
For today’s episode, we had a change of pace and covered a television miniseries instead of a movie in Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood. Is it another home run from the current king of television or a rare misstep? https://t.co/pUykiGXsdm
Check out our new episode @SOSNPodcast We talk about Frankenstein, The Bride Of Frankenstein and Gods and Monsters. Can we view classic films with a new perspective? What does it mean being a man? Can we all sympathize with the monster?https://t.co/f1iG3xtGRw
@ThatKevinSmith : Point being I fell in love with this movie & made me fall in love w/ my husband more. The only person who wasn’t looking to change who I was. He knows my preferences are my own & in the end I would love someone for their soul. Not their damn dick or lack there of
Mini Film Review: got a chance to watch #CatsMovie and.... well... 1) I can’t deny that the dancers are talented and were trying their best 2)The cinematography style did not fit this movie (especially with the special effects used). 3) hearing Ian McKellen meow made it worth it
Never mind your party loyalty (if Republican) or your allergy to party loyalty (if progressive).
Never mind the clever ones who like to parse taking him “seriously” versus “literally."
An American president just said he has absolute power.
Do something.
#BirdsOfPrey is a fun, witty, not to be taken too seriously #DC movie worth a watch. The movie’s tone becomes more animated, quirky, hectic and self aware which allows audiences a fun step into #HarleyQuinn charming and yet psychotic mind.
