Natural carbon sinks are one of our best tools in the response to the climate crisis, but they've been destroyed for profit for decades. We need to protect existing ones and restore what we've lost.

Week 36 #SOSSaturdays 🌊 went on a beach clean yesterday and collected some litter at while out paddle boarding today, it’s quite worrying that no matter where I go along the Scottish coastline there is always plastic pollution and the issue will only get worse if not dealt with
Week 34 (lake last week) and week 35 (beach today) #SOSSaturdays#LitterPick 🌊 glad to be back at the beach, even if it’s rainy and windy. Let’s make sure as a movement we’re pushing for systemic change and inclusive change so we can help protect our planet and oceans
SYCS has been fairly inactive for a while, but now's the time to get excited with a global strike in 2 weeks! We've been striking for a long time now and we still have not seen the change that is required. Due to the covid crisis, we will be demanding a #GreenRecovery
Week 33 #SOSSaturdays 🌊 we depend on one oceans to survive. From providing us with oxygen to breathe, food to eat, electricity, income and regulating global temperatures, our oceans are the heart of our planet. We must fight for them and protect them.
Week 29 #SOSSaturdays- the weather was too bad to do anything today or yesterday. 🌊 Scientific reports have found that extreme weather will become more common due to climate change, this includes more storms and flooding. We need to act now to save lives. @SosSaturdays
Week 28 #SOSSaturdays@SosSaturdays 🐳 late due to being busy yesterday :) by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, that is well known fact now but still we do not see the necessary action being taken by governments and companies to tackle this issue
Week 25 #SOSSaturdays@SosSaturdays 🐳 who doesn’t love rain in the middle of summer? Really enjoying the @OceanHeroesHQ boot camp this weekend, it’s very inspirational and informative! Looking forward to tomorrow’s activities and getting to know my squad more :)
So excited to be part of the World Oceans Day Youth-a-thon today! 🌊

Week 24 #SOSSaturdays@SosSaturdays- we have 10 years to reduce carbon emissions or risk climate change being irreversible. We also have 10 yrs to take action to restore the oceans to their former glory. The decisions we make for our planet this decade will define our future🐋🌊
Happy #WorldOceanDay!
