We are being conditioned into believing that a level of violence is normal for Islam.

Islamic terror is unacceptable in the modern world. As are its apologists who hide behind others and often protect the radical elements of their community.

I still remember when it took less than 24 hours for French media to blame the Charlie Hebdo publication for drawing satirical cartoons instead of the unhinged Islamic terrorists who couldn't take a joke.

If this were happening in a Christian community, the church would be banned. Totally outlawed.

But because the Islamic voting bloc is essential to Labor seats, politicians are too frightened to put the onus on the religious community to sort the problem out.

We are not Islamophobic. We simply have standards of cultural behaviour that we demand others adhere to.
