@EdPascoe_Draft If they have pick 1, they can select someone and then match a bid for Bewick. Which I think is enough given before their injuries last year, they'd won 28 games in the last 2.5 years which doesn't scream like a club in need.
Yeah why not reward incompetence because we've just changed the rules to reward it already via the draft changes
I cannot believe this is even a discussion in a professional competition. Bizarre
"We can reveal tonight that Essendon has started discussions with the AFL about trying to get an assistance package for this year."

Just wish it ended a very different way for all parties concerned but it is what it is. He'll learn from his mistakes and come good at his next job. He had a fair bit of bad fortune to deal with to go with his own mistakes to make what was a depressing season for Reds fans.
That's a classy letter from Slot. Never understood the personal abuse he copped and some of it is on how the hierarchy let it play out too long. He definitely let standards drop this year, for whatever reason that may be, and in my view a mutual parting of ways was the best way.
To those saying he never connected with the fans, I don't think that's true at all. The performances this year made it that way but he was well received inside Anfield in the first year.
@MissDani73@GrizzKhan They agreed on the wages, it was the bonuses that he wanted. He was going to get paid more than Gakpo so that's a terrible argument.
Ultimately he showed his true character and he was chasing money
@RileyBev It's a shame the way it ended but he deserves respect from everyone for winning the league.
I'm concerned regarding Iraola for the replacement. Seems like too easy an option to take currently. He hasn't been exposed to European football and the rigours of heavy midweek games.
