@boredspacefan1 You think Korolev or Braun did the grunt work on Soyuz or Apollo? Their great accomplishments were as chief engineers managing huge space programs and teams of thousands, not crunching numbers or running simulations (which Musk is also capable and actively involved with)

Accomplishments and impact speak much louder than degrees. The fact that two of the most successful chief engineers of our time, Musk (physicist) and Beck (no university at all) don't have aerospace degrees speaks volumes.
