2nd class had lots of fun exploring sound recently. Frances McCarthy from Blackrock Observatory helped them understand and make radio waves 📻 , while in the classroom they investigated sound waves. At home, they were busy making a musical instrument. 🥁 🎸

⚽️Some of our lucky 6th Class had a brilliant coaching session with ex Cork City player and current FAI Coach legend Alan Bennett⚽️
Alan talked about his career in England and Ireland, the need to overcome set-backs and show resilience when pursuing improvements.

5th and 6th classes had a visit from the 'Animal Roadshow' for Science Week and look at what they got up to 🙈👀🤗

Senior Infants loved hearing all about the Cork County Fire Services today as they saw the equipment used and asked lots of interesting questions. They were very excited to hear the siren and see the blue flashing lights 🚒 Thank you @CorkCountyFire for your visit.

Senior Infants enjoyed learning all about Space during Space Week. They watched videos 🔭listened to songs 🎵 and created their own Solar System 🌎🪐 ☀️. They also looked at real rockets launching into Space and made their own rockets to launch🚀 🛰🧑‍🚀
