Many people have heard of somatic therapy or somatic experiencing but don't know much about it. Here's a blog explaining what somatic experiencing therapy is

@drjenwolkin Absolutely true. I keep hearing how it made someone stronger but that's suppression, avoidance of the truth. The healing brings back calm and resiliance.
@itsnwts You'd think it would be the other way around but it isn't. They can handle their own pain so won't handle yours. You cacn get out of deprression and you can foind ew friends. I went through this myself, and I found the depression was asking that I value myself more
@lorahmoe That's true. They can neither be in their own pain. When I went thorugh thhis, I found professinal help. It was a journey to get the right one, and I ended up becoming a therapist in the process so my reall friends won't face what I did!
@PaulRidley5 So true, I was there for years. Medication isn't sufficient, although it did help for a short time. The real cure is to address the stress that caused this. That was the only way to get through it. I went back to the childhood I had.
@Lovandfear your body is trying to hlp you bly blocking what was too difficult to feel, and pressing it down. You can get out of it, but a little awareness of the pressing, the pressure in the body, but a little at a time
