#HallyuForums Ratings : 4.8/5 (A gripping action-drama that balances entertainment with social commentary)
Review : Netflix’s Teach You a Lesson is one of the most compelling Korean dramas of 2026 so far. Inspired by the webtoon Get Schooled, the series follows the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB), a government task force sent to schools where bullying, toxic parenting, and the breakdown of teacher authority have reached alarming levels. Leading the charge is Na Hwa-jin (Kim Mu-yeol), whose tough and unconventional methods make him a formidable force against injustice.
The drama shines in its portrayal of school violence and institutional failures, presenting emotionally charged situations that feel disturbingly real. The ERPB’s interventions provide satisfying payoffs, while the action sequences, dark humor, and social commentary keep the narrative engaging. Strong performances from Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, and P.O. further elevate the series.
While some viewers may find its vigilante-style approach to justice controversial, and a few supporting characters could have benefited from more development, these are minor shortcomings.
Fast-paced, thought-provoking, and highly binge-worthy, Teach You a Lesson successfully combines action with meaningful themes, making it a standout watch. Rating: 4.8/5.
