@econswapnil @ben_golub @pangram It should be mandatory to sign the referee reports. The anonymity essentially makes it like social media. You can say whatever without much consequence. Most editors don't have the time or the energy to run pangram or something like that on referee reports.

@ben_golub It's not a problem per se. It will, going forward, be the chief determinant of whether a job gets "replaced" by AI - if the output can be automatically verified. When yes, AI takes over. When no, high skill humans persist.

@CosmicSkeptic In many of your arguments, you argue around where the burden of proof lies. Sometimes, it is obvious, and sometimes it is not. Have you ever thought that Type 1 and Type 2 errors from statistics is a good way to answer the question when it is not obvious?
