Oddly specific trope of the day: what I like to call the ROMANCE SPEEDRUN
Step 1: *character's injury bleeds through shirt*
Step 2: *gasp* "You're hurt!"
Step 3: (stoically) "It's nothing."
Step 4: "Here, let me…"
Step 5: *remove shirt*
Step 6: *second gasp*
Step 7: *PROFIT*

Here's what I want from the live-action lion king remake. I want full, serious realism. I want flawlessly rendered animals. And I want the ACTUAL plot of hamlet this time! If Simba doesn't accidentally murder Nala's dad halfway through the movie I'm walkin' OUT -R
I want you all to know how happy it makes me that this every-middle-school-girl's-mermaid-themed-birthday-party photo frame I made has successfully kept all the footage in this video claim-free -R
I'm sick of all the old lighthearted children's media like Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland being reframed like depressing drug metaphors or overly-serious epics. I propose the opposite. Picture: Warhammer 40K, but it's a charming five-man-band show for the 8-14 demographic! -R
I don't think Suicide Squad could ever be classified as a GOOD movie, but I'm eternally grateful to it for generating the joke format "what are we, some kind of <movie title>?" because I will never get tired of using it inappropriately -R
Friends: oh my god why were you up at 4 AM
Family: did you seriously forget to eat?? how were you so engrossed in that project
Lower back: I'm in so much pain why haven't you moved in six hours
Brain: there's like six other things we SHOULD be doing, why are we stuck on this
Red:
Heathers has such a jarring disparity between setting and plot that it kinda feels like one of those early-2000s modernized movie adaptions of Shakespeare plays, like someone turned King Lear or Titus Andronicus into a teen rom-com. But no, it's original, it's just… Like That -R
Having been on both sides of the industry, I’ve known many wonderful, talented people who pour their hearts and souls into the games we love. Let’s show our support for them as they fight to form their union and protect their future! @GameWorkers#Voices4Devs#UnionizeGames
Stop whatever you’re doing and watch an episode of LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS on Netflix. Pick from 18 standalone stories, none longer than 20 minutes. The ‘Suits’ episode is Pacific Rim in the Firefly universe.
I’m shook right now!!

Congratulations Hello Future Me on your upcoming BOOK!
Writing a book is mad impressive, and we're hyped to see the final product — We'll be eagerly looking forward to May 30 :)

This daylight savings hour-losing nonsense has robbed me of one good night's sleep too many.
I propose a radical solution that will cure the world's woes:
Keep setting the clock an hour forward in Fall, never set it back. Repeat for 96 years and cash it in by skipping leap day

I miss when trailers had bombastic deep-voiced narrators broadcasting the premise of the film. Bring back "THIS SUMMER~" and "ONE MAN'S JOURNEY" already! I can only watch lead actors grimly narrating over spliced-together action shots set to Two Steps From Hell so many times -R
Oddly specific trope of the day: Wanna show two characters falling in love? Have I got a literary device for YOU! Hear me out:
Person A (staring in wonder at some marvel of nature): It's beautiful!
Person B (staring at Person A with stars in their eyes): Yeah… beautiful…

God, the absolute coolest thing about things like Critical Role is getting to see the characters that these actors make for THEMSELVES. So many of them are perpetually typecast in very narrow roles! Seeing who they CHOOSE to play when given total creative freedom is just 👌 -R
