Hey all.

I know it's been a while, and I appreciate everyone's patience and support throughout my time here.

But I don't think I can continue. My uncle died, my entire family on both sides has covid, my equipment broke, I'm not making enough to live, and I'm not okay.

For now, though, this is farewell. I may return in the future one day when I'm doing better, but now is not that time.

#DnD DM Tip: Plan things with your players. There is a temptation to keep everything behind the screen. Subvert that at times by approaching your players and asking how they think it could go. Give them the opportunity to work with you to develop a plot. The table will love it.

How about a weapon that you got to soak in water or in a camp fire during a short rest to recharge whatever it does?

Instead of the standard long rest mechanics make the magical item require some sorta interaction outside itself that is thematically relevant.
