@TheSmokingTire laughing at your story of the sim. Reminded me of the Indy car or FI arcade game in the late 90’s. I wasn’t even of driving age and I had mastered it, beating anyone with real world experience. Sims aren’t real, even today. Sims have loopholes.
@lawjolla@GuyDealership I haven’t seen a transparent answer. Which should be concerning if you’re a Carvana stockholder. A lot of people are scratching their heads.
@lawjolla@GuyDealership They are vertically integrated and add up all the profits along the way - servicing, financing, add ons, sale of car, etc. it’s still shady, but that’s at least part of the reason
@GuyDealership in your newsletter about pay plans, it talks about commission plans for service advisors. How do these plans prevent service advisors from selling unnecessary repairs to customers? Customers can easily be taken advantage of
@GuyDealership Philly auto show was terrible this year. Since covid it has gone downhill. Very few manufacturers are sending cars. I’ve been going for at least 30 years and will probably stop going because there are so few cars.
@OnPattison@philly_captain Does anyone else miss the times when the baseball game was the sole focus, instead of electronic boards flashing all over the place? Overstimulating
@GuyDealership I have to test drive the car, touch it, and physically see it before purchasing. Otherwise, the rest of the transaction can be at my house on the computer.
Never mind, they explain it on the site. Still wild. I guess because we got so much rain in the spring, the ground water and streams aren’t low enough to be defined as a drought.
@phillywx how is a drought measured? Curious why SEPA isn’t in one. Has barely rained all summer. Also, pretty wild how much of the US is in a drought
