@letseatcookies_ idk about the authenticity of this because i havent cross checked, but according to a local korean 1, 3, 5, 9, 10, and 11 were all korean holidays. it would make complete sense for him to use his annual leave and compile it with the government holidays for a longer vacation 😭
"pledis entertainment has not issued a notice regarding this" and why would they???? hes not an artist under their management right now, hes korean citizen kim mingyu fulfilling his alternative service, and the only permission he needs is from the military manpower administration
🚨NEWS🚨
Mingyu of SEVENTEEN Spotted in Spain One Month After Starting Alternative Service
On September 10, 2026, SEVENTEEN member Mingyu officially began his alternative military service as a social service agent. However, by mid October, photos allegedly showing him in Spain had already begun circulating online.
Under current regulations, individuals performing social service are not permitted to travel abroad freely without prior approval from the Military Manpower Administration. Violating this requirement is considered an offense.
Fans of the group are currently working to delete the leaked images, citing the artist’s own request for privacy. Pledis Entertainment has not yet issued an official statement regarding the trip or whether the necessary travel permissions were obtained.
The situation raises questions about how strictly the established restrictions are being observed in this case.
respecting someone’s privacy is the bare minimum regardless of who they are or what they do. if you come across something they clearly didn’t choose to share, the least you can do is not spread it around!
and for mingyu, he has never once failed to give us so much of himself. he was constantly going live, sharing updates and pics, working so hard to prepare songs and content for us to enjoy while he’s away, and even pushing himself before enlisting :( now that he’s enlisted and finally taking a step back from idol’s life, is it really so hard to let him have some privacy and peace?
unfortunately people like this will always exist so please don’t give them the attention they want or help spread what they post! mingyu has given us so much and he deserves so much better than this. please let him live his life in peace.
@Unproblema269 does the concept of a government approved rightful vacation not exist to your stupid ass brain? just being a stupid dick on the internet
@seoultangii dumbfuck dont loop us in with the rest of the kpop fans. idgaf about who did what. none of the svt members deserve this level of bullying simply for breathing, bcz neither they nor carats have done anything to bts or ur dumbasses. all talk, no proof, just go to hell already
@nunqaeu man u really need to get off this high hirse bcz everyone and their mamas on the tl is busy defending him. open the windows and let some sunlight in 🚶🏻♀️
@Coco60014216 google is free baby, and so is the e-mail to the military manpower administration! have a problem? think mingyu is evading his service? mail them! id LOVE to see you all be labeled as absolute fools ♥️
@Pinklikepinkk@mis0g02n@pearlytrivia using AI has rotten your brain so much you can barely read now! it clearly says "active duty", meanwhile hes a social service worker. the only reason fans want the pictures deleted is because we respect his privacy, not like you fools that like to follow your faves around 🤣
Dear, you have zero knowledge of Korean, you don't know the law, and it painfully shows.
Do you genuinely believe a South Korean citizen currently fulfilling mandatory alternative service can just pack a suitcase, walk through Incheon Airport customs, board an international flight, and clear immigration without the Military Manpower Administration’s automated system flagging them in a heartbeat?
The MMA doesn't issue personal statements to gossip accounts on Twitter. A citizen does not owe you a public PDF of their approved travel permit to validate their legal right to exist. The very fact that he exited the border legally means the proper administrative approval was processed and cleared through the Ministry of Justice and the MMA before he even stepped foot in the airport.
Writing pseudo-intellectual essays about "burden of proof" while having no fundamental grasp of how border control or the Korean Military Service Act works is downright embarrassing. Put the legal cosplay down and log off.
