@virsanghvi very interesting observation. however, in Kolkata, it's more than Biryani. Two of the most go-to cuisines here are Indo-Chinese and South Indian. Shame that the Parsi and Anglo-Indian cuisines here did not get the love that those should have. Same for Seherwali dishes.

@virsanghvi Excellent article. However, sad to see, no mention of some traditional pickles from Bengal. Our memories of school days were incomplete without the "Kul-er Achar" sprinkled with "Current Salt" and "Amchur" from the achar uncle outside the school gate. We still do it at home.
