This week has been truly special, with two landmark irrigation projects reaching fruition in Andhra Pradesh. The #PolavaramLeftMainCanal and the #VeligondaProject have been decades in the making, and will transform lives and livelihoods across Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema.

It also feels like a new phase in my long journey in public life. I have been called the “CEO Chief Minister” over the years. Yet, bringing water to parched lands, giving hope to our farmers, transforming agriculture and securing drinking water for generations to come will always remain my most cherished legacy.

How is water flowing through Polavaram canals before the project is fully completed?

Through the Pattiseema & Purushothapatnam Lift Irrigation Schemes, which lift Godavari water and divert it to the Krishna River and North Andhra.

These are interim systems. Once Polavaram is fully completed, water will flow through the main canals by gravity.

నిబద్ధత నిండిన ప్రేమ, బాధ్యతతో కూడిన సంకల్పం, అనుక్షణం ప్రజలకు మంచి చేయాలనే చిత్తశుద్ధి, ఇవన్నీ మా కళ్యాణ్ బాబులో చిన్నప్పటి నుంచీ చూస్తున్నాను. తాను చేసే ప్రతి పనిలో పూర్తిగా నిమగ్నమవుతూ, తన ప్రతి అడుగూ పదిమందికి మేలు చేయాలనే తపనతో వేస్తాడు.
