I say 2026 - 2027. Modi will step aside mid term....Modi will be instrumental in setting up a monk as PM and go onto fulfil his own calling of being a monk. He took a political detour of 50+ yrs.
Yogi’s swearing-in has the look of a future #coronation. Modi chief guest, Shah & BJP state CMs in attendance. So too the heads of Birla, Ambani, Mahindra & Tata groups.
#2029?
@BabajiSutar3 Rahul Dravid. I watched the match. Ganguly score 183 and that overshadowed Dravid's knock. Deeply satisfying to beat that SL team because wounds from 1996 World cup were still fresh.
I am heading to Japan tomorrow. The agenda is to partner with small to mid-sized companies in small town Japan and bring them to small town and rural India.
We want to restore our culture of craftsmanship - Aasaari (ஆசாரி) in Tamil and Vishwakarma (विश्वकर्मा) in Sanskrit - by partnering with smaller Japanese companies that still have those ethos and are present in rural Japan. Japanese are world leaders in areas that require intricate craftsmanship.
I am guided by my friend Britto (Britto-san!) originally from Madurai and who spent decades in Japan and understood the culture and companies well. He is the founder of Takumi Motion Controls, and Takumi (匠) also means "craftsman".
Britto-san and I bonded over our admiration of Japanese craftsmanship. This has become a mission for us.
@Final_Word_Pod@collinsadam May be it was always the plan😂! A Kiwi as a Coach and a Kiwi born as Captain! Nah. Fairplay. Kiwis are Big 3 slayers. Hope they complete the 3 by beating the Aussies. And add a WTC to that. Awesome
@robelinda2 Am a big fan of Warnie too. You will never run into a Warne video on social media where is running rings around a Lara, VVS Laxman, Dravid or SRT. He may have taken their wickets... but what Warne does to Eng. batters is just bullying 😅😅
We are not a political organisation, but naturally we have a manifesto, and we think global not local:
1. All 12 Test teams must play each other in 3 match series in the World Test Championship over a 4 year period, home and away.
2. Minimum boundary lengths of 70 metres should be enforced in all international cricket.
3. Women's Test cricket should be significantly expanded and played over 5 days.
4. Coalitions of nations should be owed to play together e.g. the Nordics, as the WI already do.
5. The ICC should provide funding to those nations seeking associate membership.
6. Profits from T20 cricket need to be better redistributed to enable players to play Test correct with high wages.
7. Bowlers should be allowed one leg-side delivery an over in short form cricket.
8. The number of teams in the T20/ODI World Cups should be further expanded.
9. 'Bad light stopped play' should be abolished unless the ball literally cannot be seen.
10. The 'spirit of cricket' should be regarded as a drink, not a moral mantra.
@robfindlay Still hurts! Am a firm believer coach can strategize. But Captain runs the play. With our new coach it is a case of...whatever! Rohit, Virat and Ashwin - matchwinners were nowhere near their best in that series. NZ ran away with it. More power to them!
@darkandcrude Thanks for sharing. I hope it dawned on everybody making the decision that IIM tagged professional is not a panacea. Founders in India (that may not have gone to IIM) love to get a guy/gal from IIM and look down other hardnosed, disciplined professionals with skills.
1) For upper-middle-class people in China, day-to-day life can be shockingly comfortable, especially if you are not obsessed with buying property.
Rent-to-income can be extremely low compared with SF/NYC (in most cases under 10% of income).
Domestic help is also much more accessible. Cleaners, elder care, meal prep, delivery, errands - the cost of services is low enough that people can buy back a lot of time.
That creates a very different lifestyle equation. Especially for families with kids.
The Soviet Union collapsed abruptly in 1990. It was a super power that looked strong until then. The collapse was so abrupt, it was not anticipated even by the United States, the major ideological and super power adversary of the Soviets.
The Soviet system was built on deceit and lies. It had gone on for so long, their own senior leaders deluded themselves. The "revolutionary" leaders lived in extreme luxury and were cut off from the masses they were supposed to represent. They had successfully jailed all dissidents so there was no one left to tell them the truth.
This kind of thing can happen to any large organization, business or political. The worst lie is the lie we tell ourselves, when we start to believe in that lie.
Collapse is the collapse of the lie and since we believed in it ourselves, we are at a total loss of comprehension.
I am sure there is absolutely no resemblance to the ideological collapse we witnessed in contemporary Tamil Nadu. Purely my imagination, I assure you.
@robfindlay@TheACCnz@BLACKCAPS I agree. It was good to see a young Indian side fight. At the same time, Kiwis beat India in India 3-0. It hurts to this day.
Kiwis were playing at another level (preparation). And Indians were playing like Eng.
@robfindlay@TheACCnz@BLACKCAPS As an Indian, I have enjoyed the Poms lose 4-1 to India in India (& 2-2 in Eng), then 4-1 to Australia. And now the Kiwis have done better... 2-1. Aging aussie side. Kiwis will be super prepared. They are chasing greatness.
@Sai_swaroopa With the level of mental colonization going around amongst Indians - I would put "Being Different: An Indian Challenge to Western Universalism" by @RajivMessage as a self help book they need to read for cure.
Every single player in @BLACKCAPS’ top XI had a big hand in series victory:
Latham: 151
Conway: 157
Nicholls 121
Ravindra 76, 94
Mitchell 68, 100*
Blundell 51, Keeping standing up
Phillips 100
Jamieson 41, 10/242
Smith 16/368
O’Rourke 10/256
Henry 12/160
A complete team effort
We can confirm that we don't wish to add Gautam Gambhir to our coaching staff. He clearly has talent, though. To take those Indian players and deliver those results in Ireland takes truly remarkable gifts.
