Lots of effort and organisation goes into our irrigation schedule. We have some extremely clever people who work hard to make sure we are not wasteful with our water and everything gets enough water to keep it healthy.
Did you know we also grow veg, here are some of our Sutton hoo produce red and white cabbages. Keep your eyes peeled for our sweet corn which will be on the harvest very soon

The use of turf in the urban environment can lead to significantly lower surface temperatures during the summer. A turf surface can be 10-14 degrees Celsius cooler than a concrete or tarmac surface, going some way to reducing the βurban heat islandβ effect. (TGA)
Turf helps purify rainwater because the root mass and microbes act as filters which capture and breakdown pollutants. Water moves through the soil profile and helps recharge groundwater which eventually replenishes the aquifers which provide a proportion of our drinking water.
