"Hooray to the Soviet Heroine, Daughter of the Great Nation!" (The poster is dedicated to Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to have flown to space)
While Soyuz 10 successfully returned to Earth, the members of the Soyuz 11 crew, Georgi Dobrovolski, Viktor Patsayev & Vladislav Volkov died of asphyxiation caused by the depressurization of crew capsule upon reentry. They're the first and only humans known to have died in space.
Today 47 years ago (June 7th 1971) Soyuz 11 has docked to Salyut 1. The three-man crew was the first manned mission on board of the world's first space station.

Soyuz 11 was the second successful attempt at soft-docking. The previously launched Soyuz 10 also managed to dock, however, the crew was unable to enter the space station due to technical issues and had to abort the mission.
