Comparison of ๐๐ข๐ด๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ-class destroyer (top) with modified ๐๐ข๐ด๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ-class destroyer (bottom). Main differences are: the addition of SS-N-11 missiles, gatling guns, replacement of radars, and addition of towed sonar. Click for larger version of image.

@SlavAesthetics I think the SA-2 is quite generic, as for me it's by default become the standard image of a SAM, i.e., if I had a dictionary then the SA-2 would be the reference image for the SAM entry.
@trip_to_valkiri I remember seeing the AS-3 in the literature of the time, and it was being slated as potentially the next big thing, but like many of its rivals it fell by the wayside.
Most, if not all, of the reception staff at big hotels in East Germany were ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ง๐ง๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๐ป๐ช๐ฆ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ช๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ช๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ (informants) for the Stasi. Some of them were even full members of the Stasi. Western tourists were the main surveillance targets.

@mhmd_sys@Helvegen29 It didn't explode at all. The launch tube is entirely intact. If the rocket itself exploded then the tube would be destroyed and the guy holding it would be very dead.
@saintjavelin Nah, sorry India, if your ship is helping Russia evade various sanctions as part of a shadow fleet then that ship is a legitimate target.
@Tyras_Mikhail And that's not George "IIII" (note extra rogue numeral in there for some odd reason) either. George "IIII" (IV) was his son, the prince regent during George III's reign.
It's unlikely the Ukrainian S-200s use the old legacy Square Pair engagement radar, which is large, cumbersome, and vulnerable to jamming. It's far more likely some hybridisation is at work, with a newer radar being used for targeting.
