A rare grove of 200 American chestnut trees, grown from survivors of the early twentieth-century fungal blight and planted in the 1970s at the former Clements State Tree Nursery in Mason County, West Virginia, is set to be bulldozed in November 2026 for a data center, and conservationists are raising the alarm over the loss of one of the country’s most important remaining stands.

The mature trees were propagated from rare wild survivors that withstood the blight, and the orchard now functions as a genetic library and a primary seed repository for efforts to restore the species across North America. Clearing it would remove that source material.

The threat comes from the multi-billion-dollar Monarch Compute Campus, a development planned for the area to house high-density data centers for artificial-intelligence processing. The facility requires thousands of acres, and the historic tree nursery sits inside the proposed construction footprint. Forestry advocates are asking the developers and state officials to adjust the building boundaries and permanently protect the grove as the conflict between the infrastructure project and the trees continues.

A 19-year-old charged with stabbing a man in Pittsburgh so badly his intestines were hanging out was released the SAME DAY without posting a dime.

Eight days later, he’s the prime suspect in ANOTHER stabbing.

District Judge Dan Butler let Delvin Dobbins walk on a non-monetary bond. Just a promise to show up to court.

Pittsburgh Police Chief Jason Lando couldn’t believe he was out.

“How can that be? I mean, he just stabbed someone in the stomach a week ago.”

And it’s happened before.

Two years earlier, Dobbins was let go after a burglary arrest because the juvenile detention center had closed. Two months later, he was charged with SHOOTING a convenience store clerk.

Two stabbings and a shooting. The man keeps racking up victims because the judge keeps SETTING HIM LOOSE!

It is outrageous that the state of NY is punishing the Amish community because their children are unvaccinated. They are using money as a weapon, trying to fine these communities into compliance. This is a blatant violation of the legal principle of “informed consent” which guarantees individuals the right to make informed decisions about medical interventions, particularly vaccines, without coercion or misinformation. Without this protection, you can be forced into anything by those in power, just like the Nazis did in WWII.

December 2023. Juvenile burglary. Shuman was closed. No bed. They let him go.

February 3, 2024. South Side. Store worker shot in the chest taking out the trash. Arrested February 13, charged as an adult. Attempted homicide. MJ-05003-CR-0000801-2024. Common Pleas denied bail September 5, 2024, and denied a modification October 2. Jail that day. Bail denied. He was out again before the next one.

September 4, 2026. New arrest. MJ-05003-CR-0006272-2026. NON-MONETARY. Hearing continued to December 15. Still open.

September 23, 2026. Penn Avenue, Garfield. Stabbed a man in the stomach. Lando said the intestines were out. Tased, taken to the jail. MJ-05003-CR-0006707-2026. Dan Butler, next morning. NON-MONETARY. Commitment cancelled the same day. The September 4 case was still open.

October 1. East Busway, East Liberty station. Man stabbed in the neck. Police tell WPXI Dobbins is the prime suspect. Not charged yet. His Garfield hearing was set for that morning. Continued.

Two open cases. NON-MONETARY both times. Eight days.
