Today at the Indian Arts and Culture Association “US Got Talent” event (https://t.co/hoRy61ri8m), judged by @ActressMeena_ and @kala_master, we witnessed something deeply disappointing.
Kids (ages 3–11) performed after months of hard work.
Families drove 50–60 miles regularly for practice.
Parents supported them every single day.
But when it came to feedback…
👉 Only ONE child received attention and praise
👉 10+ kids were completely ignored, no feedback, no encouragement
Yes, that child did well 👏
But what broke our hearts the most…
💔 Several kids and even parents were in tears right there
💔 They felt unseen, discouraged, and deeply hurt
These are little kids, stepping on stage with courage.
A few kind words could have lifted them for life.
Instead:
•No acknowledgment for most performers
•Repeated focus on the same child (pattern seen before)
•Respectful parent feedback dismissed
•Lack of inclusivity in communication for a diverse US audience
This isn’t about attacking anyone , it’s about fairness and encouragement.
If events become selective or scripted,
we as a community need to rethink:
👉 Are we building confidence in kids?
👉 Or breaking it?
I’m sharing a video of the group performance.
Please tell me honestly, do these kids not deserve encouragement?
