So I’ve seen some posts about honorifics and I have a question! I know you only use -ah/-yah when directly addressing someone but I’m curious about “ie”? Like “Jungkookie.” I read somewhere that you only use that when talking *about* someone, not to them - is that right?

@sharpa_ghost that’s exactly right! ex) Jungkookah/yoongi-yah, can you do the dishes/Jungkookie/yoongi is doing the dishes. also about ppl using “hyungie”, “ie” (이) is only attached, like said before, when talking about “hyung”. “Hyungie” isn’t actually its own word!!
