The Sovereign Individual Thesis:
The mass power of the nation-state is destined to be privatized and commercialized
It's happening right before our eyes
So long as there is upward mobility across the generations America's more recent arrivals generally do fine
Upward mobility harder to do in other countries including those in Europe
@TheAliceSmith It's so foreign to an American because if your parents move here and have children, the children are American. Sure, you could be of Mexican descent (or whatever), but you're an American and we'll treat you like one. Not how that works in France, apparently.
Likely why you do not hear our area's reps like Rob Kauffman and Doug Mastriano say too much on deportations in Franklin and Adams County, PA
Economic impact is real. Sometimes what is not said is more important than what is
ICE whiplash: ICE sources tell me officers received guidance to limit arrests to those with criminal histories.
But that was quickly rolled back, and DHS has now come out and said, "Anyone in our country illegally will be arrested and deported."
The backdrop here is important: Ahead of the midterms, some GOP lawmakers and business leaders have been expressing concerns about the political and economic consequences of ICE's crackdown.
But officially, the administration says its mass deportation policy has not changed: Those found to be in the U.S. illegally will be arrested, irrespective of whether they have criminal histories.

The Hamiltons/Madisons/et al. that today's originalists/strict constructionists look up to as the ones booting up the US, just as the likes of Joel Berry would likely look up to the Henry Clays/Quincy Adams, giving way to the great 19th-century industrialists, to scale up the country to compete with Europe...heavily relying on immigrant labor to achieve those means, which continues to this day
@MrAlexisPereira Another generation or two Diwali will have an impact on many Americans and most will have no issue with it
Just as Dia de los Muertos does today
Just as St Patrick's Day did in years past

Your Big Talk with Attorney Clint Barkdoll also features Franklin County Commissioner John Flannery as Chambersburg Council sets the table to sue over countywide reassessment. Hear about that, the latest on a possible Fetterman oppo dump, and more. Hear it all on demand below.

Chambersburg Councilmember Austin Rosenbaum asked, "why should the borough... of 23,000 residents, why should we be able to force this on the entire county population? I don't think that's right. That was not in our duties when we signed up, and whether we like it or not, it's the county's responsibility to do this when they see fit."

@RyanMNeuhaus@SteveDeaceShow Do you really think the US justice system imposes the same universal moral code on the Trumps, Bidens, and Blankfeins (Brahmins) of the world as they do to some repeat offender (untouchable) in and out of the system and can't access a good lawyer? At least the Hindus admit it
