This is why learning good decision-making at a young age is so important. People think your early 20s don't matter that much, but they shape the trajectory of your life in ways people underestimate. And certain decisions only get harder to walk back later in life. Even if you do eventually redeem your mistakes, it would be naive to think that they don't leave a mark.
Some day you will wake up inside the life you created. You need to make sure it's a good one.
I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.
always check your own attitude too. it's not always the world around you, sometimes you're the toxic one. understand that you make mistakes and can hurt people. see the things you need to work on. apologize, unlearn and relearn. that's growth
Healing in private is hard, but not everyone needs front row seats to your pain. Learn to process, pray, reflect, journal, heal… without venting to everybody. Protect your peace and your vulnerability.
A friend of mine used to say: “Show up on time, with a good attitude, and do what you said you’d do. That’s it. That’s 90% of winning in life." The older I get, the more I realize just how right he was.
one thing exposure has taught me is that i’m not above anything, no one is.
death, bankruptcy, homelessness, unemployment, loss, literally anything can happen to anyone & that’s why i’ve learnt never to speak too quickly on situations i’ve never experienced myself.
no one is untouchable
even your good intentions and right actions won’t exempt you from hardship or trials.
life is slippery, unpredictable and tables turn fast so stay humble , stay grateful and never look down on people fighting battles you don’t understand. buena suerte 👍
Suffering has always led me closer & closer to Christ. Pain is a teacher, but even more so a catalyst when you surrender your will and your whole heart to God instead of fighting the turbulences and swimming against the current
