Ngl, the X-Men movies did Bobby Drake dirty. He basically just made ice slides and froze walls, but in the comics, Iceman is on a completely different level. The movies never showed what he’s actually capable of. As an Omega-level mutant, there’s basically no known limit to his power. Bobby doesn’t just shoot ice, he can control cold on a molecular level.

He can drop temperatures to absolute zero, freeze entire oceans, freeze the blood inside someone’s body, and even rebuild himself after being shattered into pieces. He could literally cause a global ice age if he wanted to. Fox made him look like a beginner, when comic Iceman can be just as terrifying as Jean Grey or Magneto when he stops holding back.

Prometheus does not predict specific technologies. What it does offer is a cautionary structure: creators who lose humility toward their own creations risk triggering consequences they cannot contain. Whether that framework proves prophetic or simply dramatic remains an open question — one worth examining as the systems we build grow more autonomous.

In the comics, when Thanos challenged God Emperor Doom face to face, Doom ripped Thanos's spine out with his bare hands in a single move.

Thanos relied on cosmic items and giant armies. Doom is a self-made nightmare, second only to Reed Richards in scientific intelligence and second only to Stephen Strange in dark magic. Iron Man can hack a computer and Doctor Strange can cast a spell, but neither can combine quantum physics with demonology to rewrite reality. Doom fuses high-level tech with ancient sorcery, making him impossible for standard Avengers tactics to predict or counter.
