Today’s chapter is so interesting because no matter how many times Seongcheol tries to push Junseo away, his subconscious keeps calling out for him. Even when those painful, intrusive memories of Minho resurface, once again showing the pressure and possessiveness he exerts over him, it’s Junseo whom Seongcheol unconsciously longs for.
And Junseo is literally still holding on to the past they shared together. He kept Seongcheol’s uniform all this time, and he still remembers the promise they made to each other, a promise he’s determined to fulfill. 🥺
What makes me wonder, though, is the real reason why Seongcheol is so determined to keep Junseo away. Maybe he’s afraid that Minho will realize just how important Junseo is to him and try to hurt him. But it could also be something even more painful. After so many years of manipulation and living under Minho’s control, perhaps Seongcheol has come to believe that this is simply the life he deserves, that he has no right to hope for anything more and that his only choice is to remain by Minho’s side.
That’s why I feel that even though Seongcheol consciously tries to reject Junseo, there’s still a part of him that keeps reaching for him, because maybe Junseo represents everything Seongcheol no longer allows himself to believe he can have. 🥺💔

They’re both so adorable, but I can’t help feeling a little worried that Dylan is always the more affectionate one. 🥺💔
I have this feeling that something is going to happen soon, and it’s going to completely break his heart. 😔

I remember saying a few days ago that, to me, Ideum wasn’t hiding his scar simply because he thought it was ugly. I felt there was something much deeper behind it.
This chapter only reinforced that interpretation.
Ideum carries a guilt that was never his to bear. He blames himself for everything that happened to his family, even though none of it was ever his fault.
One visual detail completely broke my heart. We see his mother reflected through his scar, looking away. Whether that’s meant to represent reality or simply Ideum’s perception, it perfectly conveys how he grew up believing that his scar wasn’t just a reminder of his illness, but of his family’s pain and trauma.
That’s why I don’t think he hides it simply because he thinks it’s ugly.
I think he hides it because, deep down, he believes it represents a burden.
Looking back, this also made last week’s chapter even more meaningful to me. At that point, Ideum wasn’t even in love with Jaeyi yet, and despite that, his first instinct was to cover his scar so he wouldn’t make Jaeyi uncomfortable. He even looked away when Jaeyi asked him about it.
That’s why Jaeyi’s reaction meant so much to me. Without saying much, he made Ideum feel that his scar wasn’t something shameful or something that had to be hidden. For the first time, someone accepted that part of him instead of making it feel like another burden.
Moments like these are why I think Nice To See You is far deeper than it first appears.

Am I the only one, or did Jaeyi immediately notice Ideum’s fear the moment he realized he had covered up his scar?
The way I interpreted that scene, Jaeyi instantly understood why Ideum had hidden it. When Ideum admitted he thought the scar was ugly, Jaeyi didn’t try to comfort him with words. Instead, he gently acknowledged it with an affectionate gesture, as if silently telling him, “There’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t have to hide this from me.”
And only after that did he kiss Ideum.
That sequence made the moment even more meaningful to me. People can say whatever they want about Jaeyi, but he’s already showing so much tenderness without even realizing it.
I absolutely adore these two. 🥹

We got to see a little of Seongcheol and Minho’s awful reunion after Minho was released from prison.
Poor Seongcheol… he was so scared, and it breaks my heart to see everything Minho put him through. 💔😔
Meanwhile, I keep liking Junseo more and more with every chapter. 🥹❤️

Alejandro and Taeseo keep growing closer with every chapter. Two of their misunderstandings have finally been cleared up. Now there’s only one left, the most important one… Alejandro finding out he’s the father. 🥹🤍
