“She should not have gone to a fraternity.”
So you agree, men are inherently dangerous, and women should treat them all as if they are a potential threat.
Her name is Cereese Qusba.
She’s a student journalist at The Cornell Daily Sun, and she spent nearly TWO YEARS pursuing the story of the alleged gang rape at Cornell when much of the campus had moved on.
She built trust with Jane Doe. She kept digging. And when the lawsuit was filed, she was ready. Now the case has a special prosecutor and national attention.
This is why journalism matters. Give Cereese Qusba her flowers.
I recently read:
“When I hear ‘not all men,’ my response is: ‘Not all sharks either, but I still get scared when I see one.’”
And whew. That’s it. That’s the whole fucking point.
whoever that girl is that confronted one of the cornell rapists…. you’re so fucking real and brave for doing that queen. love you, love that you gave him shit and put him in his place. the fact that none of them have gotten jumped yet is beyond me.
I’ve been teaching sexual violence law as a law professor for decades. A victim drinking alcohol is a vulnerability not a liability. A perp imposing drugs on a victim makes the case an aggravated form of rape. A perp being drunk when he drugs a victim is irrelevant.
I don’t care if that girl snorted coke with one nostril, meth with the other, injected heroin, ate a mushroom, smoked a joint, and did a keg stand booty butt naked in front of the entire frat house—she did not deserve to be assaulted.
