Imagine people coming to a tonkatsu restaurant in Japan, treating it as haram, and praying outside the shop in a way that puts pressure on the owner.
Japan’s Muslim immigrants have every right to practice their faith. But that doesn’t give anyone the right to intimidate local business owners over food they choose not to eat.
Tonkatsu is delicious, and I’ll keep eating it.
Respect Japan’s food culture. Leave our restaurants alone.
