SpaceX launched Starship Test Flight 9 on May 28, 2025. It aimed to test booster reuse, engine relight in space, satellite deployment, & heat shield strength. The rocket launched well, and the two parts separated as planned. The booster tried a steep descent landing but was lost.
The ship reached space, but it couldn’t release test satellites due to a door issue. During reentry, a fuel leak caused it to lose control & break apart. Still, SpaceX learned a lot & called it a partial success. These tests help improve Starship for future Moon & Mars mission.
