🙏@michele_audette I respectfully decline the King Charles III Coronation Medal. As an Indigenous woman, I can’t accept an award tied to the Crown while we fight for truth, justice and healing for the children lost to residential schools. #Decolonize #indigenousRights

Thank you all who attended Elisapee Pootoogook’s memorial. It was extremely powerful.@picardghislain @yummiest
We placed the flowers in front but the condo owners have commuted removing them with the next 10 minutes. This is what it looked like.

11:50 am, Nov 18. 4 arrests made at 44K, including 2 indigenous elders. Janet Williams is our elder and she was denied access to her medication by the illegal RCMP exclusion zone. She will need her medication in jail.

No, these are not sardines in a can. These are beluga whales cramped in a small, concrete tank at MarineLand Canada. In 2019, it’s believed they had 58 or more beluga whales, but today only 40 remain. That’s 15-18 missing and presumed dead whales in months. This cruelty must end.

This is Kiska, MarineLand’s last surviving orca. Her pool is filthy from years worth of accumulated feces. She has been in captivity since 1979. She has outlived all her tank mates, including her 5 calves. She has been in isolation since 2011. How is this acceptable?! #FreeKiska
