Husband, Father, Operations Project Manager in the Marine Industry, and a giant space and AI nerd!!! 2026 Tesla Model Y Owner. All in on $TSLA & $RKLB Stocks!!!
Don’t bother trying to explain. It is like trying to explain to an ICE owner all of the crap they believe and say about EVs when they couldn't be further from the truth. Same reason we understand shit like you are talking about: we choose to educate ourselves about it, break it down into multiple pieces to understand it as a whole, etc.
Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot, data centers in space is fucking brilliant, and clearly @ElonMusk had this idea longer than we think, Starlink was the R&D for making data center satellites
Man, the anger toward EVs is fucking pathetic. Kinda sad carrying all that hate around. Life’s way too short for that weak shit.
I get why they’re so mad though — all that money bleeding out on gas, oil changes, random repairs, and endless hours wasted at the pump, dealerships, and auto shops must sting like hell.
Meanwhile I’m laughing my way to the bank with a fat wallet, charging at home for peanuts, and letting my self-driving Tesla handle everything with basically zero maintenance.
Also, what is this lame-ass crap about EVs being “gay” or for “fags”? Newsflash: I fully support gay people living their best lives — love is love, no hate here. I’m am a straight, gun-loving, bleeding-red Republican MAGA supporter with a hot fucking wife who also loves the Tesla life.
EV life is fucking grand!!! 😂

@SpaceGarbage202@dylthorn “There goes another fag Tesla driver” I hear that a lot. You all drive the same..like everyone owes you something for buying a battery car.
Dear anti-EV crowd. I drove gas vehicles for 30 years. I attended car shows. I've modified engines and suspensions. I'm a Mustang Club of America-certified national car show judge. I still love classic muscle.
I also used to love making mixed tapes, visiting Blockbuster on Saturday nights, or shopping for new music at Sam Goody. I was a photographer and spent a lot of time and money on film and developing.
At the same time, I was one of the first to rip my music to MP3s, upgrade my internet connection to stream video, and own one of the first Sony digital cameras.
And here we are again on the cusp of change. EVs are here for the masses, and the market will drive the change because EVs are better all-around vehicles for most people. Gas vehicles will be obsolete in another decade or two.
Luckily for you, you don't have to change now. Nor should you be forced to. Gas vehicles will be around long enough to meet your needs or driving preferences until you are ready, and I'm thankful for that.
But you see, I don't need your battery-fire warnings, comments about pumping gas in 5 minutes, or selective outrage about rare-earth mineral mining posted from your mobile phone.
The ICE age is drawing to a close. Legacy auto and dealerships are on borrowed time. The automotive industry is ripe for massive disruption, and many people don't see it coming. But it's coming; you can’t stop it.
@ashleevance That book turned my passion for space into a whole new level. It introduced me to Rocket Lab, and I invested a great deal of cash when their stock was trading below $6 a share. Thank you, I have read all of your books and look forward to reading your new ones!!!
@horsepower@humbleblazer@dylthorn No, we are not there yet, but imagine those long drives and the car drives itself. I drove from Fort Lauderdale to Blue Ridge, GA. Up the mountains and back without touching the steering wheel once
@horsepower@humbleblazer@dylthorn Yes, but you're stopping for fuel, or in my situation, recharge, bathroom breaks, and food. Therefore, you do not need a fuel tank in an F-250 that gives you 900 miles per tank. At 75mph, that is 12 hours. You are not driving 12 hours straight.
My longest is 28 hours
@humbleblazer@dylthorn@horsepower I never said you couldn't, but there is no need for it. Do you actually believe you can drive 12 hours straight without stopping? 900 miles at 75 miles per hour is 12 hours. If you do, your bullshitting yourself
Should trade whatever you're driving for a Tesla. In the last year, all I have had to do is put windshield wiper fluid and get two tire rotations, and Tesla comes to you to have it done. The car drives itself and charges at home, which saves you a bunch of money. Last month, it cost me about $70 to drive 1,800 miles.
That all fine and dandy if you actually need an F-250. I had plenty of them and actually used them for what they were made for, now I don’t, plus I like my thick wallet I have from not having to waste money on over priced fuel. Also the odds of you actually driving 900 miles straight is highly unlikely. Also my car drives itself too!!!
