Some players that come to mind are Carroll (not running as much), Ward (not really swinging), Tatis (power down/running more), and Kirby (elevated WHIP).
@Roto_Frank if you're looking for segment ideas for next week maybe you can do one on players who aren't (or haven't been) what we expected? Discuss the changes in their game, if they've been for the better or worse, and if you expect them to carry over to the 2nd half.
@Roto_Frank@CBSScottWhite@CPTowers I watched most of the Troy Melton start. He's absolutely filthy (that cutter is nasty!) and extremely poised for a young SP. And lots of soft contact when he does get hit. Honestly I don't see much difference between him and Messick.
@CBSScottWhite@klekner78 I'll add two more low in saturated fats "treats" if you ever want to mix things up.
1) Wegman's Icelandic Skyr Yogurt Bars (1.5g)
2) Nature's Bakery Double Chocolate Brownies (1g)
@Roto_Frank@astsnf Sorry Frank. If it wasn't clear my comment was directed at the other poster. And I really thinks his struggles are mostly due to how he's been jerked around by the manager. He passes the eye test and he's the most talented arm they have in the pen. He would thrive as the closer.
@FBTpod@CBSScottWhite@CPTowers@Roto_Frank How would you all rank E.Perez in relation to the returning/emerging SPs you discussed today? Keep in mind his next two starts are @ COL and @ ATH (i.e., he's probably unstartable). Thx!
@Roto_Frank@CBSScottWhite@CPTowers Brandon Woodruff's fastball velo is way down (in the 1st). Topping out at 89 and 90 and the few time's he hit 91 it wasn't anywhere near the plate.
@JayDanielsMVP The team that spent years trying to get out of the Beal contract just signed the worst perimeter defender in the NBA to a long term deal. I legitimately fee like I'm living in an NBA mockumentary when I root for this 'effin team.
