That's a taxpayer-funded severance package for a purge Trump wanted to look ruthless Fire the employee, keep paying the employee, gut the agency anyway, call it savings Elon Musk's chainsaw routine was never about the deficit. It was theater with a body count of careers and a bill nobody in this administration wants you looking at Ordinary people lost health insurance, lost pensions, lost jobs they held for twenty years, told it was for the good of the country Meanwhile the government wrote checks for nothing and called it discipline Somewhere a scientist who got shoved out the door in March is watching this report drop and wondering what exactly her job was sacrificed for Nine point five billion dollars. Zero accountability. Trump's "war on waste" was the waste This is not fiscal responsibility.
